The Karmela restaurant was designed by architect Martin Hilpert, a Krkonoše native, with the aim of referring to the history of weavers and weaving business in the Krkonoše. The interior offers a collection of historical photographs from the family album of Jaroslav Vojtěch, a former primary school headteacher in Janské Lázně, and from the archives of Mr Leoš Erben from the Gentiana Publishing House in Jilemnice.
